The race to roll out new technology features, mobility services, and autonomous vehicles continues to heat up. In order to drive rapid innovation, automakers and suppliers across the industry are transitioning from traditional development processes to collaborative development through open source software.

Automotive Grade Linux (AGL) is the only organization planning to address all software in the vehicle including infotainment, instrument cluster, telematics, heads-up-display (HUD), functional safety, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving.
Dan Cauchy, Executive Director of Automotive Grade Linux (AGL) at The Linux Foundation, will provide an update on AGL including key milestones, the project roadmap and plans for addressing functional safety. Cauchy will also outline the AGL vision for an open autonomous driving platform that will help accelerate the development of self-driving technology while creating a sustainable ecosystem that can maintain it as it evolves over time.
